Festival Photography Regrowth 2017 Lake Liddell NSW

Regrowth Festival was on 20-23 January at Lake Liddell in the Upper Hunter Valley NSW
So good to see the RE-GEN back again after taking a break in 2016. It was 4 great days of music, art, performance, workshops, cinema, markets, healing and of course the much loved tree planting.

With 3 stages of music focused on showcasing a wide range of international, interstate and local artists including a massive line up of bands which I just loved, and with live electronic acts and DJs it kept me on my tip toes shuffling from one stage to the other.

The Regrowth Festival is an environmentally sustainable event using 100% renewable energy, composting toilets, maximising recycling and composting of waste, environmentally themed workshops, as well as a range of other measures to reduce the ecological footprint of the festival and its patrons. Central to this is the restoration of a degraded area of the festival site through large scale revegetation works where a mass volunteer tree planting effort will add to the 67,000 trees already planted at REGEN events. We were very happy to have our efforts recognised at the last Regrowth Festival by achieving a “Highly Commended” award from the independent and internationally recognised “Greener Festival Award”.
